We've successfully held an academic meeting，last Wednesday in the classroom S#B-215 by sharing the experience of taking CET4&6 TEST, attending Model United Nations Conference and participating in the Competition of English Debate.

The introduction of Speaker In this academic meeting, we have had the honor of inviting Gao Wei, an excellent senior student from Xi’an International Studies University to give us such a great lecture, which was attractive and caught people's eyes.

The parts of the meeting

Gao Wei, the excellent speaker, who have got many awards from different English competitions since she majored in English for almost four years, is not only the chairman of English Debate in her university but also the chairman of MUN conferences held by different universities.

The students and teachers were impressed with the achievements she had made.

Miss Gao instructed her experience on CET tests at first. She pointed out that understanding the test directions or trends is quite important. By following the rules of the way to pass CET4&6 TEST can we save more energy so as to do other things better and make our life more meaningful.

Then, we inquired her some questions like how to show ourselves confidently when we act in an English meeting or an English Debate. The two key words are self-confident and practice. True or false is meaninglessly focused but being yourself is more valuable while showing yourself in front of many audiences, Gao Wei thought.

Something to talk about

The meeting was held in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. During the part of free talk, our honorable senior schoolmate, Gao confessed that she isn’t the best student in her major. However, she sooner recognized the differences between herself and other students in English studying area at her first year in college. As a result, she has tried her best to find more chances in order to improve her English skills.Rome isn’t built in one day, and this is the way to us. Of course we can see the distance compared to other students, but when we try our best in the area where we are willing to make breakthroughs, our abilities can be seen by others even though you are not the best one actually.
