活动预告丨英语沙龙—A trip for worldwide cuisines

There is a saying goes that “Food for the people.”

People can’t live without eating.

Because there are differences in history, religion and living environment,

which move forward the differences in people’s habits of their food histories.

俗话说 “民以食为天”

人活着 离不开吃饭

由于历史文明、宗教文明、生活环境的不同

推动了人们的饮食文化和习惯的不同

In India, Hand Pilaf is quite used to seeing.

In western countries, people used to eat with knives and forks.

And in the east, chopsticks are the best proof of our thousand years’ food history.

在印度 手抓饭习以为常

在西方 吃饭习惯用刀叉

在东方 筷子则是我们千年饮食文化的最好证明

Chopsticks, which is invented by Chinese,

going with our civilization,

was presented to regions like Korea, Japan, South-east Asia.

The origin of Western tableware, researched by professor

Is regarding to nomadic life of elder European.

They were living on the horseback and taking knifes with them.

They roasted the prey, cut them and then to eat.

Actually, there are the cultural differences which is truly existed behind the geographical differences.
