School Introduction

    XI'AN EURASIA UNIVERSITY (XEU) is a comprehensive private university which is located in Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi Province. The school was established in 1995 with the approval of Education Department of Shaanxi Province. It has become a key private university which possess the authority to issue Qualification of National Academic Diploma independently since 2000. Today it has nearly 20,000 students and has set up two schools and 6 departments (e.g.School of Foreign Languages, Prep School, Electronic Information Department, Business Administration Department, Mass Media Department and Art Design Department,etc.) and 68 professional programs of 57 specialities. With an independent campus of about 666,000 square meters , over 30 large-scale subject buildings and advanced modernized teaching buildings, experimental and service facilities, and of up to 270 million yuan school–ruuning assets,the university has been ranked in the first top 10 private universities in China. It has won the honorary titles of " The Outstanding Unit of National Private Higher Education", " The Outstanding Unit of the National Higher Education Examination for Self-taught People "," The Outstanding Unit for the Public Welfare of China,", " The Star School of Shaanxi Province" successively since 1997.     With the idea that“Education should face to the world, and should conform to the trend of the education globalization”, the International Culture Exchange Centre of Xi'an Eurasia University was establish in 1999.It becomes the window of the university to exchange and cooperate with the world. Since its establishment, great efforts have been made to engage foreign teachers,help manage their teaching and life, and to establish friendly cooperation with all kinds of foreign educational institution and universities. Up to now, friendly co-operative relationships have been built with many foreign universities and educational institutes in the USA, Japan, Australia and France. The school is becoming popular with more and more educators and teachers around the world. Many of them have been here and enjoyed their life and teaching experience.
    Meanwhile, some international academic exchange and consultation for Eurasia students on going and study abroad commonly has been held. Exchange activities for teaxhers and students have been set up at home and abroad. We have successively cooperated with Winscosine University, Armstrong University and College of Keuka in the U.S.
    These years the International Culture Exchange Centre spares no efforts to devote itself to the publicity of the image of Eurasia, the establishment of the name of Eurasia and the building of the academic atmosphere that sino-west blends brings.
    The school has an apartment building for foreign teachers.There is a bedroom, a wash-room , a kitchen, and a sitting-room in each apartment including utensils.
    Applicants for positions as teachers in English are welcome. Applicants should have a B. A. degree in relevant field. Those from the U. S., England, Canada and the other English-speaking countries with experiences and tenure in colleges, institutions or universities are especially welcome.
    The salary strats from RMB3000 per month. The university will provide both lodging and free medical care on campus. Round-trip tickets with RMB1000 of travel allowance will be provided for foreign teachers who work one year, and one-way ticket with 500 travel allowance will be provided for those who work only one semester.
